The room was in good condition, providing a comfortable space for our stay.
Our experience was marred by several issues. The shower had no pressure, making it impossible to enjoy a proper rinse. we could not have breakfast as promised. limited options left us feeling unsatisfied. the steep stairs were a challenge, making simple trips inconvenient.

The room was in good condition, providing a comfortable space for our stay. The area had a charming atmosphere, making it quite pleasant to unwind after a day of adventures.
The radiator in the bedroom didn’t work, and the shower barely warmed up enough to use—definitely not ideal for a morning rinse. The steep stairs could be a challenge to navigate, particularly for families, and there were a few dead bugs on the duvet cover that didn't give a great impression. there were no towels provided, which made it impossible to shower, and the breakfast options were limited, particularly for those with dietary needs.

We had a good spot in the Standard Double Room, but heaps of dead bugs in the duvet wasn't cool. Staff were lovely, tho!

the hotel had very steep stairs, which made me feel as if I were climbing Everest every time I needed the loo. also, the breakfast was a ‘continental’ disappointment, absolutely nothing for dietary needs. woudlve loved a better surprise from the staff, maybe a simple complimentary snack, but I guess they don’t care about my comfort. just couldn’t give a good review.

during my stay, I enjoyed the spacious room and the wonderful hot showers, which were perfect after a day exploring nearby attractions like Daventry Country Park, less than a 5-minute walk away, and the historic Holy Cross Church, which is about a 30-minute stroll, making it easy to take in the local sights and enjoy the fresh air.

I loved my stay in the deluxe double room, especially the cozy touch of fresh flowers waiting for me. The garden area offered peaceful nooks for relaxation and a lovely spot for evening drinks. Just a heads up, the mattress was a bit flimsy, but it didn't take away from my experience at all! 🌼

pleasant stay with room for improvement
The location in the village offered a charming atmosphere, making it a delightful experience. The room was in good condition, comfortable for our three-night stay. Generally, the pub provided decent meals at reasonable prices, allowing for a satisfactory dining experience.
The pub's overall ambiance could be more inviting, as it felt a bit dated.
